I’m delighted to wish my readers a Merry Christmas. As each year passes, I’m reminded in subtle ways the true meaning of Christmas. Sometimes, days before Christmas, we recognize a life changing moment that is worthy to be shared. I want to highlight some of my own Christmas memories and those of whom I am very grateful to have in my life.
I recall the first cowboy boots Santa brought when I was seven. A few years later, Santa brought my first handheld transistor radio with AM/FM radio.
My delightful grandparents on both sides of my family. Grandpa and Grandma Thomas filled the corner of their living room with a tall pine tree. My Grandpa and Grandma Long did the same with decorating for Christmas. Although they have all passed, I remember the kindness and love shared by each grandparent.
My father, Drexil Long, though lost to suicide, has never been forgotten. My mother did her best to raise to me and my brothers. And my brother, David, has been the best brother anyone could ask for.
Much love to others who aren’t listed, but will be shared with you at, some point.
While I mention with loving kindness to those above, we should all be thankful for the birth of Jesus Christ. We should embrace His love for us, and His wisdom and knowledge. As is expressed in my favorite King James version of the Bible, we are called in His name realize the steadfast announcements found in biblical text that are resolute and in his time.
The story of the birth of Jesus is found in Luke 2: 1-21
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
While we pause and think upon the things of Christ, and every major holiday, all Christians should consider the value of the Tenth Amendment, also known as Amendment X. We are to utilize our free speech. This includes the freedom of religion that our Founders gave our Republic. A great Christmas gift would to be to nullify any and all proclamation issued by the federal government which limits Life, Liberty, and Freedom.
Tenth Amendment
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
We must remember the federal Government tried to coerce states into shutting down churches during the pandemic. We must never forget that Trump promoted the 15-days of isolation that many state health departments claimed their authority to mandate this. This was based on Trumps 15-days promoted by Fauci, and Birks, and state health departments. They referenced the WHO has should have no authority over our nation, and also promoted the idea of closing churches while keeping bars, and strip bars open.
Honestly, I believe Jesus want USA Christians to use the Tenth Amendment to nullify tyranny which promotes religious liberty.
Merry Christmas,

Thank you for posting. People tend to forget that Libertarians may support and identify with certain "parties", but a true Libertarian supports the "Philosophy": Do no harm. All "Life" matters. Even the pre-born. Some of us have faith. Some believe in a "Creator". And we created the fiction called "government", solely to protect the rights we were born with. Merry Christmas, and let's get the New Year on the right track!
